Please mind it that for Thai, Cambodians and Laos, shoes and footwear should be left outside the house and temples. It is considered a big disrespect if we carry our shoes into people's house.

It is not only to keep the place clean, it is consider to be bad for bringing negative energies inside the house. This is because they consider the feet to be least honoured and this practice originates from the ancient Hindu beliefs and culture which migrated to the South east Asia.

So before you enter the house, temples, schools and shops shoes should be left outside always.

Today its about Buddhism and the culture in Sri Lanka.

In Sri Lanka the monks consider it offensive if you take there pictures without their permission.

However one can have pictures with the Buddha statues and Pictures. But one has to be careful, the country where a big amount of population is Buddhist it is considered highly insulting if one takes offensive pictures, like kissing the Buddha, posing like a Bond or Britney Spears, imitating the posture of Buddha etc.


Many monuments have cameras and the tourists are under observation.

BACHKE REHNA RE BABA meaning SAVE YOURSELF. This section in the blog would be to share the dos and donts of the travel world.

It does not matter  if we are in our own city or fly to another country. Every place is different for the people who live there and their attitude, culture, thought process etc. We always have to make sure that we are not hurting people's emotion while we are on the move.

So, from my travel experience, I would bring here few points that I learnt while traveling in different places.
While some would be funny, then some would be annoying. Some would bring anger and some would be very interesting.
