Talking about Chao Phraya river, I remember my longing for WAT ARUN since 2010.
October 2010 is when I was in Thailand. It was like a mini south east asia tour where I had been to Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia.
Again on September 2011 I was in Bangkok twice. All these visits to Bangkok I have seen WAT Arun from a distant and always admired its beauty. Standing by the river bed near the royal palace how much I wished to go the other side.
Never had an opportunity to be there. Even this year, I was seeing everyday while I was passing by in the river. Until the last day, I chose Wat Arun on the day tour to Ayuthaya.
Am Glad I did. I took a boat from Saphan Taksin to Wat Pho and a ferry to cross the river. I was counting minutes till I arrived at this gigantic stupa. Beautifully designed is this symmetrical wonder with porcelain mosaics and stories from Buddhism. The deep breadth at the top of the Wat after a steep climb was worth everything.
I cannot express what I accomplished on this day of my life.
